I couldn't agree more with Ed. The Internet is a way to bridge the local gaps of information available, and surpass some of the monopolies certain dealers have in areas of the country. If Yamaha pianos are only sold in the Philadelphia area by Jacobs music, how am I supposed to get the best deal as a consumer? I can't play one dealership against the other to get my best price. And, in the end, what is more important than getting the most piano for your budget? Pianobench is right - I was the poster of the price discussion that the DUG Yamaha-sponsored site said was not part of their rules. I apologized to both groups at the same time, when I really should have just directed it to DUG. I'm glad this Yahoo group exists to bridge THAT gap. I thought I knew a lot about Disklaviers before joining, but I have learned so much more than I expected, and now I am scrapping my plans to buy the used Mark I in favor of a new Mark III DGC1A. Thanks! --- In disklavier@yahoogroups.com, ejduke2000@a... wrote: > I have the same problem understanding the groundrules.
