A DSR-1 retails for $1295 from a Yamaha dealer. For anyone ever buying a
"specific" piano, ALWAYS write down the serial number of the unit you think
you are getting!!!! Having been in this business for over 25 years I am
familiar with the scenario whereby what the customer hears is not what the
salespeople intended. Salespeople can also be misinformed - especially when
trying to piece together a "great deal" that just does not exist. Perhaps
this dealership sold not only Disklavier, but PianoDisc or QRS as well. A
newbie salesperson might not be aware that a Disklavier is ONLY factory
installed.

I am happy that you are pleased with your purchase. I doubt you got ripped
off. You have a new instrument with a terrific warranty. You got a price
you were happy with. Perhaps they can also make you a good deal on the
DSR-1!
