Bill, Thanks for your excellent explanation. Understood. My DKC500RW XG has only 1MB of memory and does NOT have the EMK1 (expanded memory kit) installed. Okay then. I have the EMK control board and do NOT have the EMK1 upgrade. If EMK1 stands for "expanded memory kit", what does the EMK stand for with reference to my EMK CTRL board? Like I mentioned, this is a trivia question. I've figured out that the "PK" CTRL board refers to the Pedal Keyboard Control board.
