Re: [disklavier] Anyway to create a CD with music (MIDI) for Disklavier?

2004-02-08 by Robert Welcyng

Of course you can! I keep my entire MIDI collection on a single CD.
You simply create a CD with the MIDI files on it. I suggest you arrange
yours among well-named folders. Give the songs long names. For example
"Dutilleux Choral et variations Russo.mid". Instead of searching for
your files in a haystack of floppies, you use the Windows "Find"
facility to locate the songs on the CD. You would be able to find the
piece by the composer ("Dutilleux"), or the artist ("Russo"), or by some
word in the title. Use a sequencer such as Cakewalk or Power Tracks to
send the MIDI stream to the DKV. In a few minutes time, you can even
make playlists and tailor an evening music program with breaks while
your guests sip Amontillado.
