Re: [disklavier] Piano-e-Cpmpetition files

2004-02-09 by Robert Welcyng

There is a problem with the Enhanced and E-SEQ versions of the Grace
Fong Rachmaninoff file. The XP version appears to be fine.

Firstly, please be aware that the file FONG03.MID contains all three
Rachmaninoff pieces. The pieces simply follow one other and are
possibly spaced just as Grace paused between them. That's why if you
were downloading them singly, you got the same file name.

But that is not the problem. Some processing glitch apparently bit the
Enhanced version and was evidently passed on to the E-SEQ version as
well. The first MIDI event starts at about measure 5,020. The music is
there, but I doubt that anyone waited 2 hours and 51 minutes for it to
start.

I'm sure the sponsors will reprocess the the Enhanced and E-SEQ versions.
