Not sure I agree with you Carol about the hammer sensors only being for recording. Until these were adjusted, it was impossible to set the minimum playing velocities below a certain level, a level that was far too loud. As well, errors were reported during the auto velocity set routine. But when the hammer sensors were adjusted correctly, all tests performed correctly, and I could get the velocity level down to a very nice soft volume. So I dunno...
