If you can't source the cable from Yamaha, try contacting PianoQuest. They bring in Disklavier pianos from Japan (gray market) and completely refurbish them. Presumably, their technicians have gain a fair bit of experience with inported Disklaviers. Although they would prefer to sell you a piano to go with your cable, they might be good enough to help you out. Their web site is: www.pianoquest.com Their Phone Number: (843) 687-8664 M-F 6am-2pm PST I originally contemplated buying my Disklavier from PianoQuest, but ended up buying a new one from an authorized Yamaha dealer. -Robert --- In disklavier@yahoogroups.com, "Chang, Wayne" <wchang@f...> wrote: Dear group members, I am a pretty outdated disklavier user so please bear with me about the question I am searching for answer. I have an older C3 disklavier grand, with a control wagon, but without the cable, an older styled round 16-pin male-to-female cable connecting the piano and the control wagon. My piano like this has been described by YAMAHA-USA as "Gray Market" product which one should never touch or deal with. For the Disklavier old timers, you probably know exactly what I am talking about. I called Yamaha Piano Service several times wanting to buy the cable, but when I was asked about the serial numbers, the answer is always "sorry, your piano is not a serial number that we support." Does anyone know where I can go to get that control cable, either used or new? Thanks, Wayne
