I trust that everyone knows that the final rounds of the 2nd Internal Piano-e-Competition are taking place this week and next at Hamline U. in St. Paul, MN. Contestants are performing on their choice of 2 Disklavier concert grands.
This week, the recital round is taking place. 22 of the 24 contestants who made the cut from the Disklavier screening round are competing. Two had to drop out for medical reasons.
After Sunday comes the Schubert Piano Sonata, Chamber Music, and Concerto Rounds followed by a gala concert played by the top 6 finalists.
All performances can be viewed and heard live on the web. In the near future, Disklavier MIDI files (Standard MIDI Files and E-SEQ) will be posted on the competition website.
