No regrets for me. I have an MX-88 and find I don't record very much, but it is a nice feature to have. May I recommend you consider the MX-1 upright? It is a beautiful model, based on the U-1 non-disklavier. Its sound is absolutely gorgeous ("like a grand"), it takes up very
little space, and it offers all of the state-of-the-art recording AND play features of the disklavier. Unfortunately, I cannot say whether it has a Mark II or Mark II format, but I'm sure many who normally read these messages can. Maybe one will respond. I'm just vouching for
the sound and looks. Best of all, it can be bought for somewhere just North of $10K.
PS - The MX-1 is included as one of the "Pianos Today" portion of the Pianos-300 exhibit at the Smithsonian going on 3/2000 - 3/2001. Awesome exhibit, I highly recommend it.
