Hello all,

The first pianos with Smartkey capability were the DGT2IIXG and DGT7.
There was a control unit hardware change that took place with these
pianos a couple of years after they began production. If the model of
the control unit on these pianos is a DKC500RW, it has Smartkey. (For
DGT2IIXG and DGT7 pianos with a DKC500R control unit, a Smartkey upgrade
is available from Yamaha.) The next pianos that had Smartkey were all
Mark III full-function pianos. This includes the DGT2A, DGT7A, standard
Mark III grands, Mark III PRO models, and the DU1A. Playback-Only Mark
III pianos do not have Smartkey because they have no sensing system for
the hammers and keys. Our new Mark IV series pianos, including the Mark
IV PRO, have Smartkey.

Hello,
Can anyone please tell me what series pianos have the smartkey
functionality
on them?

Thanks
