Interesting.  The translation in English, like many translations of
foreign songs, has nothing to do with the original.  Here is the
original and a literal translation:

Manhã tão bonita manhã,
na vida uma nova canção,
cantando só teus olhos,
teu riso e tuas mãos
pois há de haver um dia
em que virás.

Das cordas do meu violão
que só teu amor procurou
vem uma voz
falar dos beijos perdidos

What I find interesting is the juxtaposition of the minor key and
contemplative sound of the music with the joy of the lyrics.
