RE: [disklavier] re: lighting

Thanks, Carol. I had a clip on another piano I had and it didn't cause
damage, but that was a wood finish. Do you know of anyone that uses a clip
on on a high gloss piano and has it caused any damage?

I have seen floor lamps used; or track lighting. Ikea
makes a floor lamp that has two lights on one pole -
one that points toward the ceiling and one on an arm
for reading. You can get a clip on light for the music
desk that has felt insides so it does not scratch.
Whatever you decide, tap on the light bulb to make sure
the filament is quiet. I can't tell you how many
service calls I have done due to buzzing sounds that
were coming from the lighting!
