Re: [disklavier] Need Metronome for Disklavier

2006-04-09 by Tom Wheeler

According to an e-mail that I received in early March from Bill Brandom
of Yamaha USA, the next firmware upgrade (version 1.20) for the Mark IV
will contain the following new features:

- Multi-track recording
- Overdub
- Track move, copy, delete, mix, and transpose
- Metronome function
- Vocal harmony improvements
- Quantize function
- Timer play
- Controller pedal functionality
- Analog MIDI
- FD format
and a few others...

Since this firmware update is due sometime in May and will apparently
include a Metronome function, you may wish to delay your purchase of a
metronome until you see this update. While I use a stand alone
metronome now with my Mark IV, I am not aware of any metronome
specifically designed to work through the disklavier's electronics.
