Adding tone module(s) to a Mark II with DKC500R XG

I was wondering about buying an extra tone module(s) to the midi setup on my Disklavier. I wonder if anybody has experience of doing this and can recommend suitable tone modules. A friend is selling a Korg 03W/R for instance.
My reason for doing this is twofold: to improve upon the XG sounds in particular the percussion and woodwind. Also to experiment with new sounds and instruments using the Disklavier as a master keyboard.
I also need some advice about setting up the DKC500R XG in terms of physical connection to other device(s) and configuration settings.
