I can't go into the economics of the issue, etc... but I can answer the 
technical question.   A US market
disklavier will work fine in Australia.   The power supply is your 
typical 120/240V 50/60HZ switcher.
All you need to do is swap out the power cord (again your typical 
iec-style computer cord).
