In order to play a .kar file on the Mark IV it must have an extension of .mid. I can change the extension from .kar to .mid for these files and the songs play but the lyrics do NOT display on the Mark IV tablet. Karaoke files must be the Tune 1000 type midi file. You can convert these files to the Tune 1000 Midi type by using GNMidi software and they should work fine. I have tried that before and it worked. I will verify this again, and let you know. -Joan --- In disklavier@yahoogroups.com, Mark Fontana <mfontana@...> wrote: > > > > On Fri, 3 Nov 2006, jfoodman wrote: > > > I've got a Mark IV and hooked up an external monitor today to see how > > the lyrics display worked.
