You should be able to format a Windows compatible floppy on your Mac  
using Disk Utility. Placing the midi files on such a disk from the  
Mac should work. Are you using OS X or MacOS?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
