DO NOT REMOVE ANY TWIST FASTENERS !!!

THe entire display comes as a unit; display itself, and PC Board permanently attached!
The display will come out in one piece.

lol - you're last sentence...thats my dillemma. Even though the tech
diagnosed the display as being bad, I could very well get a $250
display and find out there are other issues to diagnose. I think the
fact that there is a component (looks like a very small transistor or
diode)with a broken lead, was how he made the diagnosis. Sounds more
like an assumption to me.

The board looks easy to take out. The hardest part being the metal
twist fasteners holding it in place.

I'll just let the tech do it and hope this doesn't get any more
expensive.

Thanks,

Geoff

in then you could try it yourself. The replacement display is simply
mounted like the old one and the cables plugged into the same
connectors being careful to install the connectors in the correct
orientation. This assumes that the display was definitely at fault
and all that is required is a new one.
