Re: [disklavier] Merry Christmas From Me and Dereck

2000-12-21 by Thomas N. Wheeler

Derek and All,

I agree with all that John said about the midi file of Derek Barnes' Christmas music that was attached in an e-mail to the news group by Larry McKenzie. I downloaded the file, converted it to an ESEQ disk, and played it yesterday. It is certainly the equal, if not better, of any of the commercial Christmas music for the disklavier which I have. Derek and Larry are owed a big "thank you" from all of us on the forum.

I want to also second the comments that John made about the disklavier community being a wonderful group. I purchased my DC3IIXG about this time last year after hearing from many of the members of this forum regarding their experiences and feelings about owning the disklavier. It has been a wonderful purchase which has induced me to take up playing the piano again. I listen to software virtually every day on my disklavier and only regret that I did not buy one several years earlier.

Todd, we all owe you a big thanks as well for setting up the eGroups disklavier forum. I find the questions and comments on the forum to be quite helpful. So...I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you fellow disklavier owners and enthusiasts a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and a special thanks to all who have shared music and ideas with the forum throughout the year.

Tom
