Disklavier

This reply will probably be a downer!  There is
absolutely no way any advice I can give you would be
reliable for a used Disklavier that you would find in
Singapore.  I understand that 1.44 HD floppy disks are
no longer going to be made.  The  DD floppy disks that
the original Disklaviers used have a different amount
of magnetic material on them and use different size
heads to read them.  That could be a possibility of why
HD disks with the extra hole taped over don't often
work.

Perhaps some good advice directly from Japan would be
more helpful to you.
