Re: [disklavier] Re: Transition to Google Groups

2007-06-21 by Todd Muncy

All members of the Yahoo group were given membership in the Google group many weeks ago, but the default is no email so most may still be unaware. Then again, "no email" is the most common option on the Yahoo group. Despite my appeals for someone to help me out by transferring the file vault contents over, no one has stepped up, making the Google group much less attractive.
I am extremely hesitant to take any action to obsolete the Yahoo group due to the lack of awareness about the change. In fact, as we were setting up the Google alternative, Yahoo matched Google by expanding the file storage from 20mb to 100mb, reducing the motivation for a change.
I'm more than open to suggestions.
