I'm new to the group and just wanted to say hello and briefly introduce myself. Last week finally, after 4 months impatiently waiting I received my new YAMAHA Disklavier DYUS 1A from Japan. What time we already had! As a piano it sounds nice out of the box: resonating basses, clear middles and crisp highs. Beautiful after messing around with a 50 year old German piano and a Korg i4S. The Mark 111 leaves us baffled, we´re still impressed with the ghost who plays our piano. But you all got probably used to that. I still would like to specially thank Carol Beigel for her helpfull handbook on Midi and the Disklavier in particular and Spencer Chase who brought us a vast collection of beautiful Midi files and some really handy tools. Just a few introductary words. I like music of all sorts, play some jazz and classical guitar, a bit of piano, interested in midi, hifi and computing. SO I just had to end up with a Disklavier. I spend my days at Akzo Nobel as the company medical doctor. A fun job especially now we move HQ to Amsterdam! So thanks again and a nice weekend from Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Dirk Veldhorst
