Hello, I am a new member in this disklavier group.
I am working as a sales representative for Yamaha in the Netherlands, for piano's and grand piano's , also for silent piano's and disklavier !
I give demo's for our piano dealers in this country, and if there are questions about the disklavier do not hesitate to ask me, also I know all about the new models to arrive.

I'm new to the group and just wanted to say hello and briefly
introduce myself. Last week finally, after 4 months impatiently
waiting I received my new YAMAHA Disklavier DYUS 1A from Japan. What
time we already had! As a piano it sounds nice out of the box:
resonating basses, clear middles and crisp highs. Beautiful after
messing around with a 50 year old German piano and a Korg i4S. The
Mark 111 leaves us baffled, we´re still impressed with the ghost who
plays our piano. But you all got probably used to that.

I still would like to specially thank Carol Beigel for her helpfull
handbook on Midi and the Disklavier in particular and Spencer Chase
who brought us a vast collection of beautiful Midi files and some
really handy tools.

Just a few introductary words. I like music of all sorts, play some
jazz and classical guitar, a bit of piano, interested in midi, hifi
and computing. SO I just had to end up with a Disklavier. I spend my
days at Akzo Nobel as the company medical doctor. A fun job
especially now we move HQ to Amsterdam!

So thanks again and a nice weekend from Nijmegen in the Netherlands.

Welcome to the forum.

Glad you are enjoying your new disklavier. They are certainly a nice instrument and
provide lots of fine music. There are lots of nice midis on the internet that you will be
able to enjoy. Lots of good classical as well as ragtime and some more current popular
songs. Enjoy!
