There are after market player mechanisms, QRS is perhaps the

The Mark III or IV isn't just the computer, it's the whole system
of solenoids and the keyboard sensors (and the leap from III->IV
is substantial in the player mechanism in addition to being a much
more elaborate computer, the II->III transition was primarily a
computer upgrade).
