My Disklavier was purchased new in the US and I have no plans to purchase another piano so this argument is purely academic for me. None the less I find this topic fascinating and appreciate the posts (with a few notable exceptions) on both sides of the issue. I have a few questions (they are not intended to be sarcastic): Do other piano manufactures dry non-US market pianos to substandard moisture levels in an effort to cut costs? What other markets require US standards for drying? Are there no homes in northern Europe or Asia with forced air heat and/or very dry winter air? Do these homes import US market pianos? By the way, I live in the US and my home has neither AC nor forced air heating. Respectfully, Mark
