obviously, as the disklavier only uses channel 1 it seems.
I believe that all Disklaviers let you set a MIDI Receive channel for the piano. You should at least be able to choose any single channel between 1 and 16.
Starting with the Mark II, the chooses were expanded to include:
1 + 2
--Good for files that have left and right hands separated in the way that Yamaha specifies.
HP
--Good for files that were authored for the Disklavier by Yamaha and typically published as E-SEQ. In this case, the on/off pedaling is on channel 1 along with the notes and the incremental pedaling is on channle 3.
PRG
--In this case, the Disklavier will figure out which channels contain a so-called piano group voice and will respond to the data that comes in on the lowest channel that contains a piano group voice.
PRG(ALL)
--In this case, the Disklavier will figure out which channels contain a so-called piano group voice and will respond to the data that comes in on all of those channels.
If you have a Mark IIXG or later Disklavier, PRG(ALL) will give the results that you want 95% of the time without requiring you to edit the files further.
