I recently got a brand new DC3M4...there is no manual for the acoustic piano (but what would it say anyway?).
The lock should be functional, I think...Mine came with two keys that I never looked at, to be honest. My guess is that they are all the same, and you should be able to get them from Yamaha.

Subject: [disklavier] Is there an owner's manual for the acoustic piano itself on the DC2A?
Sorry for the barrage of questions, but I've left a couple of messages
at my local Yamaha dealer and they haven't returned my calls yet.
I recently acquired a DC2A (C2 w/ MKIII) piano from the original
owner. I only received 2 (Disklavier) manuals for it: The Basic
Operation Manual and the Advanced Operation Manual. Should there be a
manual specific to the acoustic piano? If so, what is that part
number? Can this be ordered from Yamaha? I seached their manual
library and came up empty.
Also, is the lock for the lid on the C2 functional? Mine did not come
with a key and since I don't have the manual, I don't know if this is a
functional lock or just decorative. If it's usable, are all the keys
the same? Can I go to a local locksmith and have a key made? Does
Yamaha sell replacement keys?
Thank you.
