Re: [disklavier] Floppy Disk for the Mark IV? You have to be KIDDING ME!

Replying to my own message for a correction...I've made the assumption here that you have your piano connected to the internet...you might not have done that (yet).

I don't have an answer for you, but I do have a suggestion.. .

Have you tried downloading the songs you want directly to the piano via the PDA? I other words, don't do your purchase on the yamaha web site, do it instead from the piano...

Ok - new to the group. Just got a Mark IV Disklavier, looks great.
Problem is, went to purchase some files from yamahamusicsoft. com
tonight, and when I downloaded the files, the yamaha musicsoft
downloaded told me to insert a FLOPPY DISK into Drive A. You have to
be kidding me? Drive A? I have not seen a floppy disk drive in years,
the salesman at the store told me I could save all the files on my 2gb
Flash USB memory card, and plug it directly into the Disklavier.
However, the files which I downloaded onto my computer show up
as "YAMAHA MSD" files, and appear with a key icon next to the file
name. Anyone know how to open these files and put them directly onto
the USB memory card? I am going to be quite upset if I have to go out
and purchase a floppy drive for my laptop here...
THanks,
C. R. Wolchok
