Re: Floppy Disk for the Mark IV? You have to be KIDDING ME!

2008-03-19 by dcolema2001

I also have a Mark IV and talk to Yamaha about connecting it to my
network. I have both wired and wireless and prefer wired. I never
thought I'd need an ethernet port in my formal living room so I
never pulled a wire there when the house was built. :-) When I
talked to Yamaha they mentioned only Buffalo devices including a
Buffalo wireless bridge. I initially connected my piano via a CAT5
wire strung across the floor to a NetGear 10/100/1000 switch but
recently installed a Linksys Wireless Bridge and it worked without a
hitch. I don't have any Buffalo devices! I have a Sonicwall
firewall, NetGear switches, and Linksys Bridge. Any network device
should work. Not sure if that was helpful but.....
Have a good day.
