I just installed my WIDI-XU and WIDI-X8 pair. It works great, but I do have one problem. With the WIDI-XU, I must open the WIDI-control program that you can download from the cme site and click on AutoSearch before it will connect to the WIDI-X8. The manual makes it sound like the device should automatically search for another available WIDI device. If you own a WIDI-XU, is that your experience? I hate the idea of having to manually configure (select AutoSearch) from the WIDI- control program each time I restart my computer. Thanks for any feedback on this. --Ron --- In disklavier@yahoogroups.com, Spencer_Lists <lists@...> wrote: > > Greetings Phil, > > one thing that this post reminded me of is that some channels work better in some settings than others. channel 1 does not work at all for me and the higher channels work better so this should be considered in testing. i guess i have some interference on the lower channels. > > Monday, March 10, 2008, 9:31:57 PM, you wrote: > > I am using Widi-X8 to WIDI-X8, and I've seen good results up to > > 100ft through one wall.
