I think it"s very doable in your price range.  I got the names and addresses
of all the dealers in my area (State of Ohio) and then started contacting
them.  They tend not to want to quote out of their area, but if you know
what you want with some specifics.  I was successful in getting two dealers
in a price war and ended up with a C2 Mark II (list at $33,000 +) for under
$19,000
