Ray, thanks for the pointer.

Are you actually using one man band?

One Man Band will do the job for you.
 http://www.1manband .nl/omb.htm

Reads yamaha style files and plays in real
time. Turns any keyboard with midi into an arranger keyboard.

Subject: [disklavier] Automatic accomp software?

My uncle has a clavinova which has the cool ability to automatically accompany his playing in realtime by understanding the chord and melody.

So, this weekend I decided to finally build a computer to attach to my MkIV expressly to try to find software which would do the same thing.

The computer is working fine, and so is the MIDI functionality. ..now I just have to figure out what software will actually do this for me! I played with band-in-a-box a bit...but it does not seem to allow for this sort of thing in real time...it wants you to first enter all of the chords. Is there other software which can do this? Am I asking too much?

If it matters, I built the computer running windows 98se.

Thanks in advance!
-Kevin
