Greetings phil.blah, I did not know that the DKV choked on foreign characters. I knew that PianoDisc did but thought that was because they are God fearing Christians. I wrote a script that replaces accented text characters with non accented ones and this takes care of most problems. I can put this code into a dedicated program to batch process MIDI files or can add the feature to my midimod2 program if anyone is interested. All it was, was > some songs from the piano bar have 'un-english' charactors in the > midi song title info (latino etc), I would of thought it would simply > do this, "..if title does not exist or is not readable then use the > midi file name (misty.mid). Not just 'copy error' how weak. (I have > over 200 songs so stopping at file 87 is annoying, but I got around > the problem using a bulk find/replace tool). -- Best regards, Spencer_Lists Chase mailto:lists@... 67550 Bell Springs Rd.
