Joan, I installed the 3.0 upgrade (the full version, not the Beta that Kevin was testing) and this feature is working perfectly on my piano. The quiet mode is something I use quite a bit, and I do switch between the Grand Piano sound and the Electric Piano (I used to have a Rhodes Electric Piano) so I know the switching worked even on when I was using 2.1 and 2.0 before that. So, sorry, at first glance it wouldn't appear to be a release problem, but then again, this is a sample of one.
