Re: Mark IV Voice Problem

2008-08-18 by Joan Heitzeberg (Conahan)

Yes, Kevin, I did step through this same procedure with my husband.
The ensemble option allows you to choose the tracks that are not piano
to different voices. The problem that we were having is that most of
our music is piano only in nature. But did have a few songs that we
could experiment with this option.

I will have to check the suggestion of that we can select the piano
channel and assign a new voice to it. Not sure if that is doable, but
maybe what my husband may be wanting to do in the playback mode.

Thanks,
Joan

possible...but you don't use the "voice" button to do it. From memory
(which might be fuzzy since I haven't done this in a while, and I'm
not home to test this...) I think you go to the "Ensemble", chose the
MIDI channel (probably 0) that the piano is on, and select a new voice
for it. I'm not certain that I've ever done that for a piano solo,
but I've certainly done it to some jazz tracks to replace the type of
bass guitar was being used during playback.
