Disklavier

I am having the following problem with my DC5PRO.

I have my DC5PRO connected to a Macintosh G4 Powerbook 
computer using a Roland UM-1 USB-MIDI converter.  I can 
successfully playback MIDI files from the computer and can also 
record to a sequencer when playing the piano myself.  What 
does not seem to work is when I play a disk in the Disklavier and 
try to record that to the sequencer in the computer.  I get many 
incorrect extra notes and pedaling movements when doing this.  
It also sets the Disklavier to an infinite loop when playing back 
what is recorded.  I don't know if it is a defect in the control box or 
if I am setting it up incorrectly.  I am using Digital Performer 2.72 
as the Sequencer.  

Since I can both playback/self record from/to the computer, I 
believe my connections are correct and the method in which I am 
using the sequencer in concert with the piano is correct.  But for 
the case of recording a disk from the Disklavier to the sequencer 
there is something not working.  I have set the MIDI Out to ESBL 
Out as well as the Piano Part ESBL Out = ON.  I have the Host 
Select Switch set to MIDI.  If someone could help me out on this 
I'd appreciate any advice.
