I can't remember if this was covered or not.
Did you download and install the latest yamaha usb to midi driver.

After the driver is installed you need to select it in the VanBassco setup.
As stated eailer the piano info needs to be on Channel 1.
A midi file may play from the floppy drive and not play from VanBassco depending on what channel the piano is on.

Thank you for your help. But I don't think I am communicating my concerns properly. I need to be able to play these files from my Dell laptop on the Disklavier. The files work if I place them on a floppy, I just can't get them to work from my laptop to the piano. maybe I'm not using the right software, cables, or settings on the computer and disklavier. I have a Midi to usb cable that is connected properly. Also I use VanBasco's software to play them. Still no effect on the piano. Any help is truly appreciated. I have Mark III-B version (DGC1-B).
