Mike, I also have this same basic question with a DKC100XG on a small grand piano 
purchased in 2000.  I would like to upgrade the above to the new Mark IV type system, but 
honesty am a little confused after searching the web.

My unit actually plays 3.5" diskettes rather than floppies, but I assume thee are the same.
Sorry to clutter up you post, but it essentially the same question.  This was the reason I 
joined this group.
