The PRC-100 has a real (not virtual keyboard) that is accessible by sliding out the lower section on the PRC-100 to reveal the keyboard. Once you have the keyboard revealed, then use the stylus to tap in the window of the PRC-100 and if text can be entered at that position in the window, you will have a flashing cursor, and you can type in the text on the small keyboard on the PRC-100.
