Raphael Hope the above helps too. I have the MX100MR. It is 1994 model it will play the "anyname.FIL" file and record if you wish what you play on the piano. The Disklavier tools "DKUTILS" on the this web site will help you convert MID files to FIL files. To convert your 1.4meg floppy to a 720kg floppy. Place tape over the RHS hole and using WIN98 (The easiest way) format the floppy as a 720kb (Change selection from 1.4meg to 729kb. XP does not do this) or download off the internet a program that will format floppy's. Get a few of them done so you can seperate your choice of songs. From the DKUTILS (small files to download zipped up) that is on this site. Use EEXPLORE to set the directory up. Now their will be no songs as yet but if your model records then the floppy is now ready to record from piano OR ready to put FIL files onto. In the DKUTIL there is a TXT file to help explain how to use the programs. Marcus - Merry Christmas everyone........... PS thank you to the person whoever he/she is in this world that created DKUTILS. Otherwise my piano would be just furniture.
