I know this is going to sound silly to folks, but I have found that during the heating season months, especially the longer the heat is on in the house, the more problems people have with their Disklaviers. The problem is static electricity. Sometimes just touching one of the components will set off a charge that sends something else awry. My suggestion is that you add some humidity to the room where your piano is located. You need to get the humidity high enough to be able to feel it on your skin - at least over 55% but less than 65%RH if possible. I also can share with you that many $100 plus service calls could have been avoided if the DKV owner had just shut down the DKV, unplugged it from the wall for a minute, plugged it back in, and rebooted the system. Unplug the ethernet cable as well if that is how you have connected it to the internet. Also, when the PRC or tablet devices are not working, take the battery out then put it back in. The most common failure I have found on the PRC supposedly not working is that it is not recharging in the cradle. If you see no light on the thing, it is not getting any juice. Try plugging the power wire directly into the unit instead of the cradle. Just trying to help!
