Bill You are correct that you can not just copy .fil or midi files to a CD and play them on a Disklavier. The CD player will only play .wav files with a midi encoded audio channel. IE Yamaha PianoSoft Audio CD's or Commercial CD's that sync with Yamaha PainoSoft Smart disks. A floppy disk will hold 70 - 100 songs so it is no big deal to use a floppy. You can use the MID2PianoCD program to create CD's that will play on the CD drive. However the ,wav files are so big you can only put 10-20 songs on a CD. **************Worried about job security?
