They are probably concerned that some users will record the stream.

Changes to the older Disklaviers' firmware would be necessary to prevent
that; they would need to add support for receiving MIDI data in an
encrypted format.  Such engineering work on discontinued products is
likely cost-prohibitive considering the limited revenue Yamaha would
expect from additional Disklavier Radio subscriptions.
