I think APC (American Power Conversion) makes some of the UPS 
(Uninteruptable Power Supply) backup power systems with RJ-45 ports to 
protect the RJ-45 LAN connections. I have used an APC backup system on 
my DK since I got it years ago. The protection they offer goes a step 
better than just a surge protector. It prevents a hard switch power 
down. For those of you with the Mark IV with hard drives, this sudden 
power down is not advisable., especially when it is often accompanied by 
power fluctuations just before the power down.
