veloset lets you adjust the velocity profile with a parametric equalizer like function. you change the slope of the curve with two slider controls.
i also have a program called midimod2 which does similar things but with a different approach. there are something like 32 sliders which you set for each range of 3 velocity points. it is more like a graphic equalizer. there are other functions possibly useful for DKV owners. one very useful feature is the ability to plot velocity histograms so you can see the effects of what you are doing. the program can be found on the following page of my site. it is in the big bunch of files about half way down the page. http://spencerserolls.com/Files4Download.html down near the end of the page is another link for "spencers presets for Midimod2" this is a text file that adds a unch of setting profiles to do things like 60 to 140 % linear scaling. read the helf file by clicking the button for it to see how to use the program and how to import presets.

The playback on the recordings on that model will automatically default to a velocity of 100. So, either turn the volume down from the control box, edit the MIDI data using Veloset, or use a MIDI interface and appropriate MIDI sequencer software. I find I need 2 sets of disks - one at the normal settting of 100, and a separate, "quieter" set at about 64.
