If you have a Mark IIXG or Mark III control unit, it can replacethe control unit. The DKC-850 does not come with a floppy drive. If you want toconnect a USB floppy drive to the DKC-850, Yamaha offers a unit called FD-UD01USB floppy drive. Most USB floppy drives will not work with the DKC-850.Another USB floppy drive option is the IOMEGA Model 32633 USB floppy drive. This is a very inexpensive unit, but does not come with a bracket for attachingto the bottom of the DKC-850. However, if I was using a DKC-850, I would spendan evening transferring the Yamaha MIDI/ESEQ files that are on floppy to theDKC-850. The DKC-850 has 128 MB of room to store these files. So there isplenty of room in the internal memory of the DKC-850. After transferring thefiles, I would put the USB floppy drive in my bench, until I haveadditional floppy files to transfer.

Does the DKC-850 replacethe current control unit? I mentioned to my dealer that I would probably wantthe floppy disk, before I read that any floppy disk drive would work, and hesaid that I would have the floppy from the current unit.
Thanks.
