doechase,
If you haven't done so already, I suggest you download
the dkvutils zip file of freeware utilities from the utility folder in the
"files" section of our group site. A text documentation file is included
in the zip. It will enable you to make lovely customized, disk and song
titled, compilations in eseq format quickly and easily with a little
practice. Convert from one format to another with a simple drag to a
box. Title songs by right clicking and setting their properties, backup
your commercial software to hard disk and/or CD, etc. etc. etc. Learn how
to use them and you will be addicted in no time at all. If you run into
problems, there are a couple hundred experts right here, anxious
to help.
BTW, for those members who missed the PS in my most
recent rant/rave, my personal family website has been totally rewritten and is
worth a new visit. The pages of most interest to this group, are "Player
Piano", "Erica's Page", and the "Links" page. If you want to see me half
"in-the-bag" one Halloween, you can search through six different photo
albums. Constructive criticism (and/or compliments) are most welcome,
but do that on my direct email to avoid boring the group. The site link is
http://MuncyFamily.com and my email is disklavier-owner@yahoogroups.com
.
TTFN,
Todd
P.S. 400 members now and still
growing!

(Playback only) You should be able to use both 2DD and 2HD diskettes, and
play ESEQ, MIDI 1 and MIDI 0 files.
Format your disks on your computer using standard IBM full format. You must
keep each type on separate disks. Put .fil files (Yamaha ESEQ files) onto a
disk that only has these types of files on it. If you have downloaded a
MIDI 1 files from the internet, just copy them to a diskette that only has
MIDI 1 files on it. Same for MIDI 0.
The disks won't play if they have files with mixed formats on them.
