Re: setting up wireless network

2010-07-19 by jmcmathortho

You need a "wireless bridge" which is a device that connects the ethernet jack on your piano module to your wireless network or access point.

Piano--------Wireless Bridge/Gaming Video Adapter((((((((((Airwaves)))))))))))Wireless RouterAccess Point/Wireless Network(((((((((((Airwaves))))))))))USB Computer Adapter---------Internet Modem

Think of a Wireless Bridge as 1 port on your router
Think of the Access Point as a router switch where multiple wireless devices can tap into your network

Sounds like he was just setting up your wireless local area network
Now you just need a bridge to tap into it. To set it up you need to know the password of your secure wireless network and configure the wireless bridge by connecting it to your computer to enter the settings before it will work.

Good Luck,

Works great on my E3

I use a Cisco-Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming and Video Adapter. I bought new for $79.99 on Amazon.

He had me purchase a wireless G USB adaptor to communicate with my router and set up the USB on my primary PC where the router connect to. I don't see how that makes sense and it certainly doesn't work to plug the USB adaptor into the disklavier. I'm afraid I have the wrong hardware. Thanks!
