Re: [disklavier] RootAripper only works on some Smart piano Soft disks not others

Good afternoon, everyone.

Stephen, is your router on the second floor an Apple Airport router? I have read that the Airport Express will work as a wi-fi bridge to an Apple Airport router but not to most non-Apple routers.

I believe those disks which have an audio (or XG component to them) will not transfer via Rootripper. I had a Lacie USB floppy A drive

and it connected to 850 USB port and then I could get the files into the 850.

Also if you have a problem with no direct connect to INTERNET, I used the APPLE device: Airport Express.
Connected Ethernet line into Apple Airport Express. Hid the Airport Express under piano. Then it receives info from home WIFI (Wireless) on second floor.

NO unsightly yellow ethernet cables under piano to Modem / router. Worked great. Product = $99
Download Instructions from Apple about the Airport Express to get an idea. While I do have MAC (Apple) equipment, I do believe it will also work with Windows equipment.

Added bonus.... The Airport express also has a miniplug receptacle which you can plug into the red/white IN ports of the 850. Then you can play any of your ITUNES songs through the Piano's "Monitor" speakers.

Speakers under the Grand.

Just some ideas.
