For curiousity sake only - is this one of the differences between the DU1A and the MPX1Z (and similar) models? On the MPX1Z there is a db51xg card inside the piano, so I assumed most of the sound generation is from the piano rather than the controller.

Both the "To Host" and "CD Control" connectors are pure data connectors. "To Host" is a serial MIDI port, "CD Control" communicates with a processor under the keybed. They have no direct connection to any analog audio signals. There is a form of XG MIDI sound card incorporated in the DKC55RCD

I am trying to determine what the PS/2 port on the back of the DKC55RCD controller (labelled CD control) is connected to because I want to connect it to speaker jacks for my MarkII XG Disklavier. If you trace the CD Control cable that comes from the back of the piano, you may be able to see what the connection is on the other end. I am pretty sure that it must connect to the AUX in/out box under the keyboard and ultimately to the outlet box for speakers on the back of the piano. The 64 million dollar question is this: Is there also a sound card wired in or are the connections pretty straight forward? Any help is greatly appreciated.
